All New German programs use this key cut. It's a shame you don't have any
of these programs because they represent the latest and best quality
software on the ST. Papyrus is a good example, but there are many more.
That said, Neodesk 4 looks pretty impressive too. But ignoring the current
trends in Europe where most of your market is...

That's fine by me and in the spirit og the new proposal. If the user wants
CTRL+J to quit - let him have it.

I think you are out of touch with the European ST scene. This is not a
guideline, this is a proposal for a standard. The developer can choose to
ignore it, reviewers and customers can choose not to recommend/buy it.

I agree that we should have one standard. However, the config file gives a
developer an opportunity to make old and new users happy by having a
dialog box with the options Use old shortcuts/use new style shortcuts from
config file.
